Our 2025 new years resolution is to work hard on bringing you more fabulous Aussie wine, so much so that my 5 year old drew the above 'Win(e) Kumpnee' good luck card.
For those attempting a dry January, best of luck. We, however, are going to be bringing you some exclusive wine from our tried and tested producers that you've come to know and love, but also some new, exclusive wines that have never exported to the UK. In our opinion, don't drink less, just drink better.
I had several people say they drank Sawyer Shiraz with their Turkey on Christmas Day and even more tell me they drank Mosquito Hill Sparkling Blanc de Blancs over the period.
To list some of the things you have to look forward to - we are at the Australia Wine Tasting at the end of January; we're bringing over two producers and will be lining up growers dinners with them; we'll have a spring tasting too as the new batch lands in the UK and we'll be sharing with you some grower profiles to really help you share the story with your friends of the wines you're drinking.
Drinking wine is always situational. Where you are, what time of year, and of course who you're with. The Xmas and New Year period has seen us drink some incredible wines, but as we look back on the two weeks right now, it was who we were sharing them with that stood out. So cheers to 2025. It's going to be Epic.
To kick off the New Years Healthy lifestyle we're going to be bringing you some healthy recipe options with wine pairing. Try the BBC Good Food Thai Style Crispy Baked Seabass. The ginger and chilli in the recipe would balance perfectly with our dry stone fruit Penna Lane 2023 Water Vale Riesling.
