Believe it or not, I didn't just pick this one to keep the family happy! Eden Valley Riesling is basically mothers milk for anyone who grew up in the Barossa Valley. It instantly reminds me of a summer day, eating fresh crab and scallops at the beach shack. It's crisp, refreshing and lower in alcohol - so you can enjoy a few extra glasses without a second thought!

After moving to the UK I sadly fell in love with White Burgundy - way out of my budget. But it did remind me of the amazing Adelaide Hills Chardonnay's back home. That's why I'm so excited we now have Sawyer's Chardy - it's the stand-out of high quality wines from this region. Creamy, fresh with the perfect amount of oak, and it pairs perfectly with prawns on the barbie! Plus, it's a whole lot easier on the purse than the French version!

This is a cracker - a vibrant red with an earthy kick, true to its classic Chianti roots. If you know the Barossa you might have expected me to go for at big, bold Shiraz, but the truth is my taste has shifted in recent years. I'm all about something lighter and brighter and the Common Molly Sangio wins for me. It pairs perfectly with a beautiful Thai red duck curry or a slow-cooked stew.

Auld Family Wines tasting at Australia House in London

I recently has the pleasure of hosting a talk and tasting at Australia House in London. It was a great experience to meet and share my story and Auld Family wines with the Australian Women's Club.

I spoke about the Auld family's deep roots in winemaking, starting with Patrick Auld's migration to Australia in 1842. I also shared a bit about my childhood growing up among the vines in the Barossa, my recent career in healthcare - most recently as COO of The London Clinic - and my journey back to the wine industry. Lately, I've been proud to support Australian wines in the UK through Australian Vintners and Auld Family Wines.

This led to a discussion about the diverse perspectives and value women bring to wine, healthcare or other industries. We wrapped up the morning with a good chat and, of course, some delicious Auld Family Wines.

Last but definitely not least - this International Women's Day, we're proud to support #accelerateaction and the achievements of women everywhere. I also want to give a shoutout to the incredible women who inspire me, pouring their hearts in to their own wine businesses. We are lucky to work with them and I couldn't admire them more!
