House of Arras X Australian Vintners

We love a rockstar winemaker at AV, and Ed Carr at House of Arras is one of those.

When we went to the Australian Trade tasting earlier in the year we made a bee-line for the House of Arras stand, not because we really thought much would come of it, but because the reputation of their wines always precedes them. Ed Carr, their winemaker was over here too, which made it a super exciting chance to chat to Australia's most celebrated (and awarded) sparkling wine maker and all round bloody nice bloke.

When they told us that House of Arras had just gone through a big ownership change and that, as part of this, they had cut links with all their historic distributors, we leapt at the chance. Some fabulous tastings and few phone calls later, we are delighted to be representing them here in the UK.

We have taken our favourite wines from their range to start, which many of you were lucky enough to taste at our recent tasting, and the feedback has been amazing!

Dive into the website and explore for yourself, but amongst the 3 that we took the Brut Elite for us stands out as a super dry fizz with gorgeous flavour and that lip smacking crispness you get on the driest fizz! The 2015 Grand Vintage is something seriously grown up too! And you know what for £25 quid the A by Arras is just a brilliant wine that should replace anything French at the same price from your fridge. You know what we love them all!
