You may have noticed we didn't send an email last week. That's because we were slightly exhausted from celebrating Ed Carr, from House of Arras winning Best Sparkling Wine Producer at the International Wine Challenge awards on Tuesday.
It was a star studded event (well Oz Clarke was there) but also many of our competitors and Ed Carr managed to come out on top despite it being only the second time in 40 years that a non-champagne producer has won.
Amazing work Ed. We're almost as proud as his wife Jenn was as she screamed when they announced his name.
On the Wednesday we were also honoured to provide the wine to the Australian High Commission to celebrate their National Aboriginal and Islander Week. Penna Lane Riesling and AFW Wilberforce Cabernet Shiraz complimented the Aboriginal Art that the High Commission was showcasing.
And then on Thursday we held a House of Arras dinner at Medlar. Ed Carr once again presented his amazing sparkling wines and there was something for everyone from the Brut Elite, the outstanding (and for me top choice of the night) Rose, through to the biscuity golden nectar of the 2014 Vintage Blanc de Blancs.
We're also pleased to announce that 67 Pall Mall and Medlar will also be stocking our wine so if you are in either place do order a bottle.
What a week...
As a nod to such an amazing week, we're doing a mixed case of the best wines this week. Two of each: Penna Rieling, AFW Cab Shiraz, 2010 Mosquito Hill Pinot Noir (case of 6 £158)
And a Best of House of Arras: 2 x A by Arras, Brut Elite, 2015 Grand Vintage, 2014 Blanc de Blancs and their Vintage Rose. (Case of 6 £283)
Just reply to the email and we'll get it sorted.
