You're only official when you have merch!

Let me tell you a story. One of our suppliers, Auld Family Wine had some hats made. They were beautiful, soft, cotton numbers with AFW on the front of them. They gave them away to friends, family and customers who had supported them in the hope that they would wear them and people would ask "What is AFW?"

And one day they did.

One of the Australian Rules football players was celebrating winning an AFL game and in the post match interview had grabbed his favourite hat to keep the sun out of his eyes. Across Australia as he was interviewed on their spectacular win, there, for all to see, was the AFW logo being blasted into peoples homes.

Instant advertising. A breakthrough for AFW.

"I know," said Ben "let's get the same, amazing hats, and one day someone will see our hats with Australian Vintners emblazoned on them and ask "I wonder who those guys are?"

So this weeks email is not about wine. It's about hats. Our hats. We're still spreading the word and increasing our email distribution list, so if you could introduce us to one person you think we don't know, that'd be great.

And if you order 12 or more bottles we'll throw in an Australian Vintners hat. Who knows, you might be on the telly one day.
