AFW's flagship wine bears the name of Jock and Sam's great grandfather and Australian wine pioneer, William Patrick Auld. The 2018 release just blew us away with its silky smooth fruits and fabulous full-bodied finish. It has such great depth of flavour that makes it feel like a real celebration wine. Incredibly moreish and whilst it will cellar well for 10+ years, I'd be surprised if ours lasted that long. Those smooth fruits and the long lasting taste on the palate are the backbone of a wine that in our opinion will comfortably outshine many of its more lauded premium competitors. Drinks perfectly with a sirloin steak or, better still an Aussie steak pie. ABV 14%

Six generations before Sam & Jock Auld started making wine, their pioneering great-grandfather was planting some of South Australia’s very first vines. He found time to join Stuart's expedition to cross Australia from South to North in 1862 on his horse Wilberforce, the name of one of the wines today. Wine's been in the family ever since!
