A cabernet sauvignon for those seeking something a little more approachable, the push for increased fruit-weight is evident from the classic cabernet nose (capsicum, cassis, chocolate, blackberry) on.  Fine tannin allows for a rich balance on the palate, where ripe blueberries and more winter berries play nice with spice and a good kick of acid. A big, generous wine that promises the excellent long-term maturation Conor sought in the making. A hugely popular wine at our recent tasting with both on and off trade this wine, which spent 29 months on oak (85% old French) this was the first vintage of Stoney to move to stelvin closure to preserve more of the freshness and avoid any cork taint, Its a smooth, silken wine that just feels like it needs a stunning meal to go with it!
