A brilliant blanc de blancs is a truly wonderful thing, and for us is the high watermark that you always want a glass of fizz to live up to. This 2014 vintage from Ed Carr at House of Arras in Tassie is just a remarkable glass. A very grown up expression of chardonnay from Tasmania with an amazing mix of citrus fruit, a fresh nose and that all important amazing fresh pastry/brioche notes. An award winner both down under and up here platinum, for 2 years running in fact. Quite literally one of the best sparring wines in the world. If you haven't tried it then you won't know what the fuss is about, but I would urge you to try it!
