Auld Family Wilberforce Riesling 2023

The 2023 vintage picks up where the 2021 finished with high scores from the critics and is a delightful wine. 95 point scoring the Eden Valley Riesling has the same bone dry freshness with light floral aromas coupled with hints of citrus on the nose. 2023 was a slightly cooler year, but on the palate, there’s the same great depth, with notes of lime and clementine coming to the fore. The wine shows length & regional minerality, finishing with crisp Eden Valley acidity. The vineyards are located at the southern end of the valley, which means they were protected from much of the searing summer heat. Grapes were picked in early march overnight at perfect ripeness! We always think the Wilberforce Riesling makes the perfect tipple for spicy food! Drinks perfectly as a hot summer's day glass of wine in the garden with mates or with a bowl of seafood pasta. As with all rieslings this also pairs brilliantly with fresh asian salads or noodles! ABV 11%
