Size

This wine is a selection of their best barrels of Pinot Noir from 2012, particularly from those barrels which exhibited the most tannins. This wine is richly flavoured with structure but remains delicate and drinking superbly well. As always with Mosquito Hill wines, you'd be very forgiven for picking this as a very good 1er cru Burgundy given the cooler climate of the Southern Fleurieu peninsular. Their 7 barrels is the top cuvée of their reds and this shows with great depth that will put a big smile on your face. Drinks ideally with red meat like a rack of lamb or a beef wellington. ABV 12.8%

Meet the producer

Mosquito Hill Wines

A surgeon by profession, owner & winemaker Glyn Jamieson cemented his love for the French styles of winemaking, when he took study leave in France with his late wife, Elizabeth. After returning to Australia, they purchased a 200-acre property & Mosquito Hill Wines was born. Two vineyards were established in the 90s & in 2004 the property’s first wine was produced.
