Adelaide Hills sets the standard for Chardonnay in Australia for many people. With the elevation lifting it out of the intense heat of the Barossa Valley, you get a less heavy style chardonnay and far more of the more refined French, Italian or Oregon styles. Mikey Sawyer makes a fabulous example which has an elegant nose of peach and nougat. Like all good chardonnays there is the creamy, brioche taste with a lively hint of citrus and acidity to finish. Love a good chablis? Look no further. Drinks perfectly with a grilled sea-bass, a salmon steak, a bowl of prawns or even a great bowl of cacio e pepe pasta! ABV 13%
