We set out to find wines that we hadn't come across before or didn't expect from Australia. This is just that wine. People associate Australia with the big 3 commercial grapes, but actually some of the most incredible wines coming from Australia are from the Mediterranean grapes both white and red, and especially Italian varietals. Pinot Gris is clearly one of those and Australia produces some of the best in class fresh, dry and bright white wines right now. Sawyer's Pinot Gris is a beautifully dry, thirst quenching wine with a perfect balance of stone fruits & delicate citrus. There is a really delightful aftertaste of pear and just the tiniest hint of honeycomb. With very gentle acidity and a friendly 12.5% alcohol, we think this will become a real summer show stopper! Drinks well on a hot day, out of the ice bucket with some bruschetta to nibble on. Summer in a glass! ABV 12.5%
