PJ & I resolutely didn't like Savvy B. The we tasted this. A Sauvignon Blanc that lives up to its hype of a Fume - which is a Californian term for a wine thats seen time on oak. This double gold award-winning wine is sophisticated with texture and length, made with wild yeast fermented in barrel- 20% new and 1-5 year old French oak on solids (fumé style). The presence of the softness from that time in oak transforms this into an incredibly moreish, quaffable wine! A lovely wine showing fine balance between grapefruit and passionfruit in profile. Medium acidity. Good length. A Zinger. Pair with seafood, a creamy pasta, cheeses, or stunning with fish and chips (especially the F&C for PJ and I). ABV 13.5%
