In 2002, a group of winemakers who were tired of making someone else's wine commandeered a disused restaurant in McLaren Vale and started doing things their way. Tiny batches. No rules. Wine made for the love of it, not the spreadsheet.
That rebel spirit is very much alive at RedHeads today. Now based in the Barossa Valley, the team actively hunts down exceptional parcels of fruit that larger producers would otherwise blend into anonymity — and gives them the individual attention they deserve. With over 20 grape varieties in their winery at any one time, no two RedHeads wines are ever quite the same.
You'll find things here you genuinely won't find elsewhere in the UK: Barossa Sangiovese, Spanish-inspired blends grown under South Australian sun, Italian varietals with real Australasian character. RedHeads make wine for people who are bored of the predictable.
We love everything about what they do — and we think you will too.
